Mountain Biokovo

You can take the minibus to the top of the mountain, and from there it's a short walk to the peak St. Jure. You can also take an excursion which includes five hour walks through thick pine forests and slopes where you can spot wild goats and sheep. Mountain of Biokovo, which rises above Podgora, offers endless opportunities for walks. The highest peak is St. Jure (1762m). Bring enough water with you. Another popular excursion spot is Botanical garden, near Makarska, close to village Kotišina that can be reached by marked paths from Makar.
